Here's a timeline showing some of the key events from our history since our launch in 1988:
Sentinel X100 Inhibitor, Sentinel X200 Noise Reducer, Sentinel X300 System Cleaner, Sentinel X400 System Restorer and Sentinel X500 Inhibited Antifreeze launched. This was the beginning of our highly comprehensive water treatment offering, and many of these still remain popular products today.
Sentinel X800 JetFlo Ultimate Cleaner was launched, expanding the range of Sentinel cleaners available on the market. It was designed specifically for powerflushing domestic central heating systems and this cleaner remains a favourite of many heating engineers to date. This year also saw the launch of the Sentinel System Filter; a solid brass unit for removing debris from heating systems.
Sentinel Rapid-Dose format released to market, enabling simpler dosing of pressurised systems. Sentinel X700 Sanitiser & Biocide for underfloor heating systems is also released, along with a comprehensive range of renewable products for solar thermal, ground source and air source heat pumps.
Sentinel X100 Towel Rail Inhibitor launched for freestanding towel rails. Sentinel Eliminator® launched; a central heating filter with groundbreaking Quadra-Cyclone™ Technology. Sentinel ScalePro® launched; an electrolytic inhibitor with integrated performance indicator LED for protecting hot water systems.
Steve Goodwin joins business as new CEO. Sentinel SESI launched to expand limescale protection offering. Sentinel Senticide 7500 and Sentinel Senticlene 8500 launched into the Commercial market.
Sentinel's best ever filter, Sentinel Eliminator Vortex 300, is launched. Independently verified to collect more magnetic debris on continuous pass than any other compact filter on the market*, the Vortex is also Sentinel's most robust, compact and easy to install and service filter to date.
Ownership of Sentinel consolidated with Electra Private Equity PLC.
David Barrett appointed CEO.
Sentinel acquired by Aalberts N.V. on 15th April 2021.
The company will form part of the hydronic flow control cluster.
