Today marks an important milestone in the continued growth and development of Sentinel, as we announce our acquisition by Aalberts N.V.
This acquisition will see the Sentinel business joining Aalberts' hydronic flow control business cluster, with Sentinel joining other well-known businesses in this sector owned by Aalberts, including Flamco and Comap.
David Barrett, Sentinel CEO, commented "We are delighted to be joining the Aalberts family, which offers significant opportunity for Sentinel as we continue our growth, focused on improving the energy efficiency of heating systems and meeting the needs of our growing customer base."
Sentinel will continue to be led by the existing highly experienced management team.
Commenting on the acquisition, Maarten van de Veen, CEO Aalberts hydronic flow control commented ‘the acquisition of Sentinel perfectly fits into our hydronic flow control strategy. A strategy of making buildings more sustainable by driving energy efficiency and improving the building system performance during the entire building life cycle. It is a valuable addition to our 'from source to emitter' philosophy and by using this synergy potential we will boost our growth and service to our customers and end-users, both in and outside the UK."
Sentinel is a company with a clear goal: we offer water treatment products and services that provide the best lifetime protection for heating and hot water systems. Originally launched in the UK by Grace Dearborn in 1988 and subsequently a subsidiary of the leading multinational General Electric, Sentinel has operated independently since 2005, expanding its international reach and range of innovative solutions. As of 2021, Sentinel is owned by Aalberts N.V., and sits in the hydronic flow control cluster.
