National Key Accounts Manager - Wholesale & Distribution

Location: Home-based, UK (with travel to Daresbury HQ)
Reporting to: Regional Sales Manager - South

The Role

Reporting into the Regional Sales Manager (South), this role is responsible for all sales growth of water treatment products in the area.

The individual will prioritise and aligns with the overall business strategy of growth areas, but will have the ability and autonomy to make their own decisions that reflect their areas needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop existing and new customer sectors - Housing Associations, Contractors, Heating Engineers, Regional Developers, OEM’s and Merchants
• Own relationships within all customer types to enable growth within the area.
• Develop and target new strategic business opportunities to achieve incremental sales growth through all market sectors.
• Provide technical support and product training where required to the customer base.
• Lead commercial negotiations around pricing with end users.
• Support national agreements and promotions
• Build structured account plans and territory plans for the maximum impact

Experience Profile

• Proven experience as an Area Sales Manager working for a manufacturer.
• Merchant branch and sales staff will also be considered, for those who are wanting to make that next step in their careers.
• Strong background in the UK heating market.
• Comfortable operating and communicating with all stakeholders
• Commercially sharp - pricing, contracts and negotiation
• Relationship-driven but disciplined and structured

Qualifications

• Degree level preferred
• Sales: 2 years (required)
• CRM software: 2 years (preferred)
• Clean UK Driving Licence (required)
